Trainee Warehouse Operator – Cheadle, Staffordshire

Full-time role temp-perm offering £11 per hour plus overtime at double time.

The Trainee Warehouse Operator role will involve:

  • Picking: picking notes are picked, packed and despatched according to customer expectations which includes labelling, packaging, transportation times for arrival on time & accuracy in counts.


  • Receipting: all PO Receipts are booked in correctly on the system and goods stored accordingly once goods have been accounted for. .


  • General warehouse operations are carried out in a FIFO, 5S manner considering all aspects of H&S maintaining a safe and clean environment for all staff.


  • Carry out perpetual stock counting activities as required. This activity must be done using the ERP system (Emax) and all stock discrepancies reported to the supervisor or operations manager.


  • Complete regular rack consolidations which will leave space available for incoming goods.


  • All activity must be completed using the scanners (Emax system) correctly. This includes ensuring stock movements are recorded correctly and the correct parts are in the correct locations as stated on the system.


  • Any other duties as required from time to time by management.

Process Operative – Cheadle, Staffordshire Moorlands

RCM Recruitment is searching for a Process Operator to join a client, a manufacturing company based in Cheadle, Staffordshire Moorlands.

Based on the client site, the purpose of the role is to support the production process.

Duties will include:

-Manual handling
-Moving product to and from machines if applicable.
-Assembling products
clearly marked locations.
– Checking quality of products

The successful applicant must have GCSE Maths and English. Our client are looking for a motivated and loyal employee who is eager to learn.

No experience in this area is necessary.

Ideally will live locally due to commuting issues to the area.

Hours of work are Monday – Thursday, 7.30am- 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am-1.30pm

Starting basic salary is £9.50 per hour (40 hours a week)

This is a permanent opportunity.



Accounts Assistant


Location –                     Cheadle, Stoke-on-Trent


Salary –                         £21,000 to £23,000 (depending on experience)


Working hours –             Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (30-minute lunch)

Our client, a long-established firm of Chartered Certified Accountants based in Cheadle, Stoke-on-Trent are recruiting for an AAT qualified accountant (with at least 2 years’ experience working within practice) to join their team.


The right candidate will be passionate about accountancy and strive to deliver an excellent service to our ever-expanding client base.


Responsibilities and requirements of the bookkeeper will include: –


  • Accurate preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT Returns for sole-trader/partnership/Limited Company clients using KashFlow/Xero/SAGE online/Quickbooks online software packages.
  • Have the ability to review and amend bookkeeping entries
  • Up-to-date knowledge of VAT rules is required
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Be able to review a Trial Balance and highlight any areas for further review
  • Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
  • Accurate entry of client’s invoices using DEXT receipt capture software
  • Preparation of annual accounts for sole-trader/partnership/Limited Company clients accurately evidencing all Balance Sheet items
  • Dealing with day-to-day client queries
  • Knowledge of CIS and how this interacts with the bookkeeping process



Essential requirements


AAT qualified

Proven bookkeeping experience within practice for a minimum of 2 years

Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Excel)

Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Skilled and effective communicator
